Why can't I list my phone number as a private seller?
At CarGurus we care about protecting your personal information and preventing malicious use of our private listings service. While we do allow sellers to share their phone numbers with buyers who have submitted an inquiry, our policy is that every first interaction between buyer and seller should happen on the messaging platform. As such, we do not allow sellers to include their private numbers or email addresses in the listing description.
